I think there was a mismatch between my expectations and what I actually got here. I would say that this is the fastest-moving book of the series so far, but I was looking forward to seeing Haern and his new guildmates having adventures. Instead, I got Alissa and Zusa having adventures with Haern. Not a bad thing, but not what I was looking for.
Also, I felt like there was a lot from the POV of people that I just didn't like, and that took away from my enjoyment a bit.
Still, not a bad effort. I'll keep plugging away at the series.
