Maybe I'm nostalgic for the first two books but this series seems to be going down hill with each new addition. They're still great to read as a family before bedtime, but the writing just isn't what it used to be.

I read this with my 8 year old, he liked it, and it kept me engaged. I like the humor the author puts in. I recommend for 8 and up.

DNF 19% good for a middle grade novel. A little too juvenile for me to continue reading the series.

The .25 off is for the Harry Potter reference. These books are really good I like that they cover some more serious themes (belonging/foster care) while also being fun and unserious.

This one gets extra points for that climax and ending! So intriguing.

Honestly this one gets four stars because I was legitimately worried about what would happen at the end!!

The winter holidays have arrived in our gang’s zombie monster land. While making the best of their first zombie Christmas together, they discover they’re not the only ones trying to survive, there’s a bigger threat coming from beyond and one of their own could become one of the infected. A- (91%/Excellent)
