I always enjoy reading Stephen King's books. I love his writing style. After reading this book I had to watch the movie again because I didn't really remember it, and the movie is awful.

Loved the premise, it started really interesting, but soon I lost all of that interest. I had a feeling it kept going on and on and on, with a lot of fluff, repetition and unnecessary scenes. In the end I just didn't cared about anyone anymore. I think this story would work much better as novella.  The ending was also not my cup of tea, it was too clean. King didn't break my heart even once in this story and that's just weird.

But banger quote: "He is two man - he has ALWAYS been two man. That's what any man or woman who makes believe for a living must be. The one who exists in the normal world...and the one who creates worlds. They are two. Always at least two."

Wasn’t very impressed at first. Kind of corny/boring throughout. But the ending was fantastic and worth hanging on for!

Not sure why this took me so long to read. Very good early story by King. It’s quite gory but really good. Takes place in his world of Castle Rock and includes some characters from other stories. Highly recommend.

Started off slow but it picked up quickly and held on. I've seen the movie a couple of times but, as per usual, the book is better.
