Took me a little while to get into it, but it's good as usual. Nikki and Joseph being together and saying I love you hit me in the feels, and I loved it when Nikki was freaking out when Joe went into the fire.

DI Nikki Galena and team are racing to find out who is murdering people by setting fire to them. The victims have no known connection. Added to their murder hunt is the unusual goings on at Black House and their occupants being targeted by the youth of the area. I love the way the characters all interact and after 9 books you really feel like you're part of their team as well. This series of crime books are definitely my favourites, they're written so well and with such detail. Roll on book #10.

This series is fantastic and gets better and better with every book. As the series progresses each book gets more gripping. This one really kept me guessing and the way the team work so well together is amazing. There constant determination to not give up and find out the truth is really well portrayed and makes you want to know what is happening. It is great to see more permanant supporting characters coming into the series to enhance what is already a good team. The character development is also fantastic and a great draw for the series.
