Author Kyla Linde just keeps those surprises coming, and I LOVE IT! She drew us in and pushed us right over the cliff with BLOOD TYPE. Now Reyna and Beckham are back and better than ever in BLOOD MATCH, and Ms. Linde is taking no prisoners as their story continues.
The reality of Visage, the truths about who can be trusted and who cannot, the web of intrigue that goes deeper than Reyna could imagine, Kyla does an absolutely great job of conducting this non-stop thrill ride, and making us want more. I was hooked from page one and could not put this book down, which, for me, is the mark of a great read.
And, y'all, if you thought that the ending of BLOOD TYPE was a jaw dropper, well, you ain't seen nothing yet. Where the heck is Book 3, Kyla? You'll be asking the same thing, and wishing it was there on your e-reader. Believe me when I say that you want to be all caught up when BLOOD CURE (Book 3) goes live, so stop what you're doing and read these books, right now. You will not be sorry.
This book was much better than the first one. It is no secret that I struggled a little bit with that but I am so glad I didn't give up on this series!
At the end of the last book Reyna runs away from Beckham and runs right into her kidnappers at Visage. They keep her as a captive and she is basically a blood bag for one of the most powerful vampires. This obviously sucks. She can't speak to anyone but I also thinks it opens her eyes to what is really going on. Her Naivety is what made me hate her in the first book but she is not so naive now. I actually enjoyed her in this book! Her character was so much stronger. I am excited to see her grow in the next book. Beckham.. well I still am not 100% on them. Yes the scenes with the two of them are hot but I hold grudges man. And he was just an ass. So I guess we will see how it goes in the next one.
A lot happens in this book. I do not want to give away anything but be prepared. In true Linde fashion the ending will make you want to scream. I am dyyyyyyying for the next book!
I received a copy of this book from the author.

thoroughly enjoyed Blood Match, the second book in the Blood Type trilogy. Like the previous book this too ended in a cliff-hanger, which had me quickly searching for the next book.
To recap, Reyna desperate to earn money went to work for Visage as a blood escort. She ended up becoming a permanent blood escort for the enigmatic Beckham Anderson. At the end of book one Reyna found herself in a precarious position. In Blood Match, which picked up where book one left off and we see Reyna being held captive by Beckhamâs boss, Harrington, where she was being used solely for her blood because of her rare blood type. Her life with Harrington was literally that of a prison. She had no access to the outside world and she was constantly being poked by needles. Her sanity was hanging by a
thread, however her hope of a reunion with Beckham and her brothers helped to keep her sane.
The story started out slow and gradually picked up the pace leading up to a jaw dropping end. Interesting information came to light regarding Beckham and his role in the Elle the mysterious organization fighting against the vampire hierarchy. I learned so much more about him, which provided a better understanding of his character.
Reyna was no longer the naive person I met in book one. Her experience as a result of her being held captive by Harrington gave her a first-hand experience of harsher side of the vampire world. However, the things that remained the same were her impulsiveness, her ability to ask a million and one questions and her propensity for attracting trouble.
Her relationship with Beckham has blossomed. I love how protective Beckham was towards Reyna, but at the same time allowing her the freedom to be herself. I loved seeing them together.
This installment introduced new characters were brought into the mix and they helped to make things interesting. The story had its share of action and suspense. There were twists that I never saw coming, but the most brutal of all was the ending. It left me in a state of shock. Even as I am writing this review, I keep wondering if it was a plot to trick the enemy. It had to be, there could be no other logical explanation.
Conclusion/Recommendation
Overall, a solid story and one I would recommend to fans of paranormal romance.
Narration
Caitlin Elizabeth continues to narrate the series. She has improved since the first book I loved how she handled the voices for each character. Her voices were distinct and she brought life to the story.

Let's start with the fact, which is, "I FUCKING HATE HARRINGTON" he is a pure bastard.
I cany even breath with the weight that was dropped on me in the end of this book.
This is not even a cliffhanger, it's like I was dropped from the top of the Visage building.
Anyways as you probably know from reading book one, Reyna was kidnapped by Harrington but she was saved and is now living at the Elle headquarters. Elle is a rebel group who stands against everything Visage is.
Anyways things get hotter, steamer and dirtier between reyna and Becks and now Everett is back.
It is a fucking disaster and....
Becks fucking di....
Just read it

I was beyond thrilled when I saw that Blood Match was up for review on NetGalley. I had loved Blood Type and was waiting for Blood Match to come out. I had hyped this book up in my head. I am glad that it lived up to my internal hype because I would have been mad if it wasnât good. Let me clarify, mad at myself. I try not to let myself get all hyped up over books. But in this case, because Blood Type was so good, I let myself do it.
Blood Match starts off 56 days after the ending events of Blood Type. Reyna has been kidnapped by William Harrington, the president and CEO of Visage. Reyna was kidnapped because of her very rare blood type, RH null negative. Harrington needed Reyna for her blood but he wasnât above torturing her when she wouldnât comply. One of those times, he left her alone with a deranged vampire that he called B. Reyna is soon broken out of Visage by Elle. Reyna soon learns that not everything is what it seemed. That enemies can be allies and allies can be terrible enemies. Can she overthrow Visage with the help of her friends or will she be forced to watch people that she loved die?
Blood Match was as dark and gritty as Blood Type. There was an undercurrent of violence that ran throughout the book. That is what made the book so good. You never knew when violence was going to explode. What I also liked, and what made this book dark, was that the âgood guysâ werenât necessarily good guys. The author had those characters walk a thin line between good and evil. I loved it!!
The sex in this book was great. But, what I liked was that there wasnât a ton of it. But, when Reyna and Beckham did bump uglies, it was explosive. Even Reynaâs dream sex was amazing!!!
The plotlines in Blood Match were not resolved. If anything, more depth was added to them. I cannot wait to read book 3 to see how this story ends.
The end of the book was insane. I didnât expect what happened to happen. And it ended with a small cliffhanger. I was mentally yelling âNOâ when I read it.
I rated Blood Match with a 4-star rating. Why did I do that? I liked the plotline. I liked the characters. The sex scenes were hot. Now, with the good, there is the bad. There were parts of the book that I didnât like. I didnât like William Harrington. I didnât like what Visage was doing behind the scenes. I didnât like the cliffhanger (as small as it was).
What I liked about Blood Match (to recap):
A) Plotline. Thought it was great.
B) Characters.
C) Sex scenes
What I disliked about Blood Match (to recap):
A) William Harrington
B) What Visage was doing behind the scenes
C) the cliffhanger
I would give Blood Match an Adult rating. There is explicit sex. There is violence. There is language. I would suggest that no one under the age of 21 read this book.
I would reread Blood Match. I would also recommend this book to family and friends.
I would like to thank Random House Publishing Group, Loveswept, and NetGalley for allowing me to read and review Blood Match.
All opinions stated in this review of Blood Match are mine.
