Really enjoyed this book and couldn’t put it down. Some great bits of political humour highlighting just how bad this bunch of politicians we have are.

Please leave your principles at the door. The Secret Political Adviser by Michael Spicer is a laugh-out-loud canon-adaptation of “The Room Next Door” sketches. Each page is unputdownable, short & a hilarious dedication to the man in the earpiece! Spicer created an interesting literary background of the mysterious "man in the room next door". It's short but reasonably short. Just under 200 pages was a great choice to its on-the-nose, Armando Iannucci-esque humour.

Much like Spicer's hilarious videos, he takes the mickey out of political figures such as Theresa May, Boris Johnson & of course, Donald Trump. The problem is that Trump is a living, breathing, walking political satire, and he doesn't know it. Apparently, neither do some of his supporters. Political satire is exceptionally infectious & addictive. It can change an apolitical mindset into a political one, thus building a much more progressive and informed society.

If you're a fan of his, give it a read! Please share it with a friend for the holidays!

Often funny, but as with many satires, I often lose a bit of interest if I'm reading it for long stretches of time.
