I really wanted to love this book, and in a way I did. I love the world, most of the characters and the vibes in this series. But I struggled alot with all of the chapters having a new POV. I never got into the plot with all the jumping around in the different subplots.
It was also awfully convenient how everything was resolved after Avenazar disappeared...  They just picked up Diel, stole a horse and left through the gates?

The second installment of Isandor didn’t disappoint! Again, I wish I didn’t have to put it down and I’m excited to read the third book very soon.

The characters are beautifully complex and compelling. I’m very invested in all of their fates at this point and I appreciate how even the most heinous villains have solid motivations based in their own personal histories.
