why did everything finally get interesting towards the last few chapters? i just felt the book was dragging on with em voicing how vengeful she is and her repeated descriptions towards wraiths strength. Emilia was so much fiercer and vengeful in the 1st book. their was quite literally no plot. no idea where the story was going. like we get it he's the demon you were raised to avoid. disappointing and boring. the plot twist towards the end was great really i just wish it could've been introduced sooner. i didn't understand half the shit that was occurring and the point of her "training sessions".

I don’t know where to start. I thought book one was so good and then I read this one and it was better? Sure I got annoyed with Emilia but I feel like that was part of her journey this book. Part of her character development. By the end I loved her. I loved how it ended but I have so many questions and I need answers. Good thing book 3 is out and I have it waiting in the wings. I love Wrath and Emilia’s dynamic. I wasn’t expecting things to go that way and I can’t wait to see how the trilogy finish!

3.5 i will definitely have to reread this book bc i understood none of it. i’m sure that for someone who did take time to understand the magic and plot the appeal would be a lot higher but it was very complicated and a lot to take in which made me lose the plot. this is mostly on me bc i’ve been in a reading slump lately and just cannot focus on what i’m reading, along with reading digitally which just kills my brain LOL i did really love wrath and his brothers characters, they all seemed like they had a lot of depth. fauna and anir are prob some of my fav side characters, not too close and pushy with the mains but also there when needed.

I couldn't get into it as much as the previous title. It felt to me a lot of meandering happened in the middle of the book, or that was perhaps me being unable to fully concentrate on the story told. Maybe better next time I read this again.

I honestly don’t know what we were suppose to learn from this book. Absolutely nothing happened in this book and then magically everything happened in the last two chapters.

Slowest burn I’ve ever seen between characters and the FMC is wishy washy the whole book I was ready to slap her.

Not sure I’m going to continue this series
