I can’t believe how much I hated this book. I considered not finishing multiple times. I listened to this one at work and literally played to it at 2.5x speed so that I could finish it faster.

I didn’t like any of the characters (and there were way too many characters with backstories for one book). There were multiple writing styles which confused me. This book was filled with random pop culture references and long lists that made me cringe or roll my eyes. Also the ghost was silly and not really necessary for the story IMO.

I’ve heard better things about this author’s other book, but I don’t know if I’m willing to find out myself.

Another Nantucket setting by Elin…about the relaunch of Hotel Nantucket after being abandoned for years. I loved how it weaved in the tragic history of a 1920s fire with the more modern references (Instagram, travel reviews, etc).
