Catherine Cowles is magic. No joke.
The woman is amazing with a laptop.
How does she do it?!
I have been looking forward to Jensen’s story since book one... because I love me some single parent books. And I was not disappointed!
Tuck and Jensen had so much emotion and depth. I absolutely adored them.
Honestly I didn’t want it to end so I tried to read slowly but I wanted to know their whole story so I gobbled it up quickly! #readerprobs

Favourite of all the couples but third in the series and follows a very familiar formula. Friends to lovers done well, Tuck is my favourite of the Broke series men.

I've been looking forward to Tuck and Jensen's story and it was better than I'd hoped for. All the pain she has gone through, led her to who she was meant for at the moment he was ready for her. Add in the baby daddy coming back to town and someone was trying to get rid of the wild horses... this was such a great story.

Jensen has closed herself off from the world, the one thing that brings her peace is the wild horses. So when someone starts targeting them, she and Tuck try to figure out what is happening and grow closer in the process.
Every book in this series has the same plot and it is frustrating AF. I really liked Jensen and was excited to read her and Tucks book, but it's the exact same plot arc as the other two.
Man is attracted to woman.
Woman pushes man away.
They get together (kind of).
Woman gets kidnapped.
Man rescues woman.
They live happily ever after.
Rince. And. Repeat.
This could have been such a great story. I really liked Tuck and Jensen and felt like they had some really good character development. But I am completely put off by the lack of imagination in the plot.
Jensen is a struggling but fiercesingle mom who no longer trusts her intuition. Tuck has always been her protector and friend. He is a bit of a playboy and has never trusted himself to settle down. Their lifelong friendship and trust in one another lead them to a friends with benefits situation, which doesn't really work because there are too many em tions involved. I enjoyed the evolution of their relationship and the fun banter between them. I think that Tucks relationship with Noah was incredibly sweet.
Tropes: brother's best friend, friends to lovers, forced proximity, small town, single mother, friends with benefits

I liked this book but didn’t love it. You could tell the main characters have history, but I don’t know that I feel the emotional pull between the characters. Get together in a one bed situation around 30% and then hit the usual brothers best friend struggles. Kind of predictable and the “suspense” at the end mirrored the same scenes from book 1, so a bit predictable and boring.
Considering the fmc is the mom of a boy, I would have expected more interactions between her and him and the mmc. There were a few scenes but not enough to give the son an idea of what was to come.
Wish the author used different narrators for all of the books in this series, probably won’t listen to the remaining 2 right away, a break from the authors will likely help.

This was just beautiful with how Tuck and Little J have loved and cared for each other over all the years. To see both characters grow so much over the first couple books with people around them but also this whole book and their love for each other.
Loved Cowles' writing, the added twists and turns, the settings, the side and lead characters, the build up for the next book, and the HEA.
Overall, 5 stars, 3.5 steam, and 2 screams.
