Jensen's story was so touching and heartbreaking, but the way she worked through it all to be with Tuck was so, so worth it.

3.5 rounded up.

Audible listen (book 3 of a series) narrated by Aaron Shedlock and Maxine Mitchell.

Tuck and Jensen’s story.

A best friend’s little sister trope. And it started off with him threatening to spank her and she liked it.

This was another cute book in the Sutter Lake series. I loved seeing Jensen and Tuck together. Seeing them give into their feelings for each other. I liked seeing Jensen get her spark back. Seeing her trust herself more. And Tuck finally seeing that he can be (and already is) more. The mystery wasn’t nearly as exciting as other books. Not sure if I’ve just read too many back to back. Or this book’s suspense storyline was a bit lighter. But still liked this book a lot.

I loved the connection between these two. Even as friends they had something special. Once they made the jump to more it was even better. They were meant to be together. Their relationship was beautifully written. I received an ARC for an honest review.

I absolutely love this book. I am a sucker for a single mom, brother's best friend story. And this was just so heartwarming and I loved every moment of reading this book. I loved the mystery of this book, and how it all came together. I think that Catherine Cowles is now a new favorite author of mine along with this series being a new favorite of mine.

My favorite romance stories are ones in which there’s a lot of history between the characters which increases the tension and longing. This book was the perfect example of that! The friends to lovers relationship between Jensen and Tuck was done so well! The best friend’s sister aspect also added a sweet forbidden element. It was a beautiful story and I loved seeing them come together and face their demons and outside obstacles. I would definitely recommend this one!
