Reviews with content warning for Violence - Spy x Family, Vol. 1

Damn, I must be an absolute monster of a human being, because I actually didn’t like this book. I thought it was a surefire hit: it’s a beloved manga about a found family of spies! Unfortunately, I found the plot to be overly contrived and somewhat nonsensical, the characters obnoxious, and their relationships cloying. I stopped caring around the 30% mark. That said, I get why people like it, and I understand that my opinion is the *wrong* one here.

It took a little bit to get into it but the second time I picked it up I read it al the way through! Very fun I can't wait to read the second volume

I love this series. The first volume does a really good job of introducing us to Loid, Anya and Yor and how the three of them are in a fake family situation. There are plenty of moments in this volume that had me laughing out of loud. This is such a great fun and lighthearted read.
