3.5 stars. I listened to this book as an audiobook. It was overall enjoyable and well performed. However it gets 3.5 stars as the main character made some truly stupid decisions (inviting a person you think may have killed your parents and sister to your home for dinner?!?!) and the story was a bit predictable in spots.

This is a decent read, but if you read a lot of suspense, there is nothing in this book that will impress you. Molly Forster witnessed her family’s murder and went on the run, taking on a few identities. Rachel Holloway is the identity that stuck and the one she built a life around. When the newspaper she works for decides to create a podcast about finding out what happened to Molly, her life begins to unravel. I liked the premise and was invested in finding out what would happen to Rachel/Molly, but the ending felt very rushed and anti-climatic. It has a standard plot with no major twists. This is a quick and engaging read, but there’s nothing particularly special about it.

This book was obnoxiously predictable. The premise was interesting, especially for true crime podcast fans, but the story was so obvious and I knew what was going to happen in the first few chapters. If you’re looking for something with twists and turns, skip this one.

Really interesting concept. Felt like it was wrapped up too quickly / slightly rushed in the end to bring the book to a conclusion
