This book is kinda getting dragged in the reviews. I actually really enjoyed it. I do think it was too predictable but maybe that was intentional.

It also kind of gave me Twilight vibes but not in a bad way. This one was published first but it also had a lot of similarities to Fourth Wing.

I’m usually an early to bed person but I stayed up until 1 am to finish this and I do want to read the next one but I fear the second one won’t live up to this one.

Oh my gods. Oooof. This one is a ride, my friends. Literally devoured this. The last 25% had me gasping is all the ways. A little sad this series isn’t on kindle unlimited, but it’s worth the purchase. The protectiveness? The slow burn? The yearning? The blood!? Aaaaah. Start it. Just read it, you won’t regret it.
