Took me about 10 minutes to read. It was a commencement speech, and it was sweet, but not at all what I expected.

I think Saunders offers some wonderful wisdom about kindness and life in a distilled format that would be beneficial to anyone to read. The illustration in the edition I read also wonderfully accompanied his words.

As I think back to my own commencement last year, I wish there were more sentiments along these lines. Yes, there is the importance of going out post-graduation and becoming successful and growing as a person in your career and life while you learn what you want. However, kindness and how you treat the people around you are more important. It's not hard work to be kind.

I enjoyed this speech and hope these words have reached many and influenced them in some ways.
