I enjoyed the book. Very emotional. Survivor guilt is intense, and how it can have someone run from their past. The writing of this story captures it.

Fantastic read. Super suspenseful weird meaning throughout. A great combination of thriller and found family. Was sobbing the last chapter

Great story...I kept reading and didn't want to put it down
This is a great story about the victim who escaped a serial rapist and murderer who (she thought) put her past behind her. While I thought at first that there were too many stories and too many families in one place trying to deal with the unexpected tragedies in their pasts and presents, I thought the author brought the stories together well. I also liked the story within a story, which is how the author relates much of the main character's past. SPOILER ALERT: I also knew the adopted daughter/birth mother connection and the bio father's identity. Not sure whether the author intended to give it away so readily, but it didn't ruin the story line for me. This was an interesting story about surviving life and learning to live it. All in all, a recommended read.
