This book grabbed me from the start and is keeping me interested. The fact that it takes place in my neck of the woods (British Columbia) is an added bonus!

This was a GREAT thriller! I couldn’t read it fast enough! I loved it! The main character is kick a$$!! After escaping the clutches of a serial killer 12 years earlier, Olivia Westhas found a place where she feels safe and in control. She has changed her name, cut ties to her husband and family, who couldn’t handle the fallout of her abduction, and forced herself to leave Sarah Baker and the victim mentality behind her. Her abductor killed himself in jail 3 years ago, but PTSD sometimes haunts her with flashbacks.
Gage Burton and his daughter, Tori, are reeling from the death of his wife and her mother 6 months earlier. Gage was the police officer who “rescued” Sarah. He felt the wrong man had been imprisoned and was very vocal about it, which resulted in his transfer to another city 12 years ago. He made a solemn vow that he wouldn’t rest until he KNEW the actual killer had been stopped… permanently. He actively searches to find the killer. But his cancer diagnosis puts a timeline on his goal and also pressures him to find a way to assure his daughter is loved and taken care of should his cancer lead to a health situation that makes him unable to care for her himself.
23 years ago, Cole McDonough was young and reckless. Through a terrible turn of events, he was the driver in an accident that caused the death of his mother and little brother, Jimmie, and destroyed his father, Myron. The family fell apart and lost contact with each other.
Olivia is the ranch manager at Myron’s ranch. When Myron’s failing health reaches  a critical level, she makes the decision to let his children Cole and Jane know.
All these characters’ lives converge at the Broken Bow Ranch and lead to an unbelievable outcome!

This was very well written and engaging, with likeable characters - I couldn't put it down! Some parts of the story were almost too convenient, but it didn't bother me!
What did bother me was the rushed ending. There was no epilogue to explain how things went with Cole's sister, the ranch, and Tori. This was disappointing after an otherwise great read.
