It was interesting enough. But I didn't like the way the book was structured time-wise.

I really enjoyed the book, though I worry, as I always do when a real person is used in a work of fiction, that the lines will blur in some people's minds. I was always fascinated by siamese twins and the day to day minutiae of their existence and the psychological effect. I think this ios one possible rendering and it makes for an interesting read

The book started off very well. This is the fictionalized story of Chang and Eng, the "original" Siamese Twins. They traveled around the world as young men and then, in their 30s, settled in NC where they met and married two sisters.

I always like to root for the underdog and I saw a lot of that in the main character, Eng. But as he aged, he became such a despicable person, that I couldn't wait to finish the book.

So it was an interesting premise for a book, but ultimately, I disliked the characters too much to care what happened to them.
