This one was one of the longest reads I had recently. The story is just too dense or maybe my mind is slower than usual but I felt that I had to read it slower than usual in order to grasp everything in here.

I love that we get to see more Morpheus than in the last volumes. Not only we see more of him, we also get to see a different side of him.

I love Delirium. Death is still my favourite, but Delirium certainly gained my respect here. She has such a good and pure soul. It was my favourite character in this volume.

Now, we also get to see more about Destruction, finally. This is basically a journey in search for him.

That said, this is also a journey of change and destiny.

Are we condemned to follow our destiny or do we have the power to make our own choices? Is destiny written? Does the future already exists?

I guess we'll never know the true answer.

Possibly my favorite installment so far. Excited to see how the story progresses.

Though this volume starts and ends with a "modern" take on the Orpheus myth, it mostly deals with the Endless siblings. The rendering of Delirium is sometimes sad but mostly hilarious, and though 'change' has not been kind to her (she was once Delight), she's the impetus for a journey to find Destruction, the most "human" of the siblings.

I think I enjoyed the side-stories (the consequences of their trip) more than the interaction of the siblings themselves, though those latter scenes are the most profound. I also learned of a mythological character, new to me: Étaín. I really should brush up on my Irish mythology one of these days.

ja jädrar i min låda. vad kan man ens säga. typ, "tack gaiman."

Even if this is a re-read I forget that this series keeps getting better & better. Just pure brilliance & reading joy. Love how it just sucks you in. Damn, just sooooooo good.

I think out of all of the volumes this one was my favorite. Not just because I got to witness Dream being a tired and moody big brother to Delirium but because we finally get an answer and a reason why Destruction left from being a part of the Endless.

That and everyone in Dream's realm knowing that he's an utter drama king whenever he gets his heart broken is just hilarious, I love Dream so damn much.
