The mc literally makes me want to pull my hair out she makes me so mad. She is insufferable. I ended up dnfing at 90% because I just couldn’t take it anymore. The story was meh to begin with but I really just wanted a monster romance so I didn’t care until it got so repetitive I had to walk away
Updated review:
Trashhhhhhh. This was fun at first and then it just got repetitive and annoying. Like why did the MC quite literally not get a job??? If she’s a recognizable child actress (who’s like 28 in this book?) she could have easily gotten a job to make up the money her mom/manager stole from her. She was also super whiny and materialistic and so obsessed with her pride taking a hit. Like maam if it’s taken you 10 years to fight this court case with your mom and you’re still broke and have no job (again even though she was an extremely successful actress), I think it’s fine that your sugar daddy fixes your situation. Why else do you have a sugar daddy? Don’t even get me started on the male mc- SNOOZE. The smut wasn’t even that good- honestly I feel bad for her because she was proud that she couldn’t walk the next day, babe no 😭

I was eager to enjoy the book, but daddy kink is not my thing, and I am not particularly enthusiastic about those sexy sculptures looking good and ready for me to climb them. The heroine was annoying, she was a sugar baby and was constantly going in her head, "Oh, I don't want my clients to know I have problems," and the moment Titan was trying to learn more about her life, she spilled too many details and relied on him emotionally, whilst boasting her ability to separate her job and her emotions. That sounds delusional. And also, she eavesdropped one (1) conversation about Titan promising not to be distracted by her, and despite having known him for less than a day, she was so disappointed. Like, honey, what does he owe you? Is it your first workday?
So, this series is not for me, unfortunately, but I still recommend her other book, Blood Moon, I enjoyed it a lot and still think about it and that skinny legend vampire.

For never having read a book with a daddy schmink before, I enjoyed this. I didn't feel like the world building was particularly elaborate and the magic system was barely touched on, in my opinion. But I did like the healing vibes, the touch her and die trope, and the sexy scenes were fun! I've also never read a book with a 'sweet' baby (let's just say) before. A different twist on a genre I really enjoy.
Graphic: Bullying, Child abuse, Cursing, Emotional abuse, Sexual content, Toxic relationship, Violence, Blood, Alcohol, Injury/Injury detail
Super cute book! I really liked how they didn’t make her this super weak damsel in distress but truly showed how a good d/s dynamic can work with this type of play.
Okay either this book was pretty okay or my experience with Mothman was just that bad. Either way, I think it’s time to take a break from the monsters before someone calls in a wellness check.
Good world building. I’m interested to know where the story goes and meet more of the characters and types of strange.

I really appreciated getting the EArc for this book.
Definitely more of a 3.75 stars for me. I would recommend this book. Though it just wasn't necessarily for me.
There were some moments that took me out of the story then made it hard to continue, but I'm glad I did. TBH this was my first daddy Dom style read and I believe it will be my last. Nothing at all against the author just turn out it wasnt something I enjoyed. I know suger babies as well as seen some on tiktok but never ready a book centered around it and it made it difficult to get into for me.
I most likely wouldn't read it again but am looking forward to the next one which, according to the title, seems more up my alley. They writting its self was good and the overall plot was very good.

I received this as an ARC.
Though I have nothing against the kink itself, I’m usually more than a little discomfited by how DDLG + Daddy doms are approached in published erotica. It’s a hard dynamic to capture and when it goes bad, it’s BAD. Titan, however… Oh, he pulled it off. For a centuries-old gargoyle with poor social skills he certainly knew how to twist Jules (and me, who am I kidding) into knots.
Unlike a lot of similar books, I was genuinely interested in the plot distracting from the nasty fun stuff. In fact, I would have loved to see even more of it; I can’t blame Graves for skipping over so much exposition, this is an erotica novella after all, but I was a tiny bit frustrated by how much was skipped over. I really wanted to see the scenes that didn’t just involve Jules and Titan. Eden and Jules, Titan and his crew, maybe some flashbacks… I know that’s not what this book is FOR, obviously, but I actually really loved the universe Graves built. I suspect/hope the sequel will give me some of the answers I wanted.
The spice was a smidge too repetitive but I enjoyed how… unique… a lover Titan was. Three cheers for prehensile tails, ladies!
The extended title made me apprehensive but I think this is a genuinely good erotica, monster lover or not. Jules’ budding relationship with Titan was exhilarating and the dual POV was handled spectacularly. I was worried their equal bullheadedness would bleed together and I wouldn’t be able to distinguish their voices but they were consistently Very Different Characters. That’s something renown authors can barely do!
