Years after former child star Julianna Novak lost everything to her shady managers, she’ll do whatever it takes to claim the money she earned and ensure her independence. In her rush to find a new sugar daddy, she meets Titan: a gorgeous, wealthy businessman who makes her an offer she can’t refuse. But Titan is more than he seems: not just a Daddy, but a gargoyle, and much more than she bargained for.
I really enjoyed the urban fantasy setting. The premise and character motivations have a lot of potential, but the story is let down by an obsessive focus on creating sexual situations, no matter how ill-fitting the circumstances. I know it's a smutty romance, but the plot and subplots—fairly significant parts of the story—were repeatedly glossed over in favour of shoe-horning often mediocre spicy scenes in every few pages.
This is the first “daddy” dom romance I've read. I’ve enjoyed dom/sub dynamics previously, and whilst I’m pleased to have tried something new, I can confidently say it’s not my scene. I’ll stick to “Sir” in the future if I’m in the mood for a dominant dynamic.

Re-Read: 3.5 stars. Still a good time. I don't love all the attention to the stuff with Julianna's mom, it kind of detracted from the story and yet propelled it? Idk. Overall, still a fun and fascinating time. I can't wait for the next one.

I loved that this book just jumped right in. There wasn't a slog of world building or explanation, we were in the middle of a mission right from the first chapter. The exposition came later as Julianna found out what she'd gotten tangled up in. And by the end, you can definitely see that big things will be happening in the rest of the series.

Gargoyle monster romance but make it daddy. It's like two of my favourite genres did a fusion dance and I loved it. There's a heist involved as well but the main good thing is the beautiful relationship between a gargoyle and his baby girl plus his tail. Bravo Jillian Graves, bravo.
