This is the first book I read after finishing my exams, and I can't describe how much I missed it.
After over a month of self-restraint, reading made me feel like an addict.
This is a smutty gargoyle romance about the h letting herself feel safe and protected by someone else, while still keeping the power to make her own decisions. That is the overall just of the plot, It's cute and sweet and cozy to read, there is some action but nothing high stakes to warrant any stress, I liked it. It was a great way to kick off my summer readings.

This was something lol. Spicy gargoyle. Idk. I keep trying to get into monster smut but I just really don’t think it’s for me
I really tried to get immersed into this book but it isn't working. Normally this is totally my kind of book but the story didn't bind me.
I've read so many gargoyle romance lately trying to find "The one". This is it! Hands down the best gargoyle romance. It also has lots of action and plot so it's thoroughly entertaining.

I've been feeling a bit slumpy lately so I decided to try something new in a genre that I love and I ended up on this monster romance! I ended up enjoying this more than I thought I would. I liked the author's writing—it was entertaining, enjoyable to read and easy enough to follow despite the average world-building. I liked the paranormal element to it but I didn't really understand what the relic was and certain things about how the "pull" worked didn't really make sense to me, especially at the end. But, I did like the mystery element and the heist-like plot. I would've really liked to know more about the other paranormal characters in the story, especially the witches, and basically, the big goal that these creatures come together to work toward.
Titan and Julianna are both headstrong characters despite her being his "baby girl" and his "daddy dom" vibes, and she has an ego and pride that's on the same level as his. I thought they had good chemistry together and the sexual tension was always high when these two were together. Unsurprisingly, this was pretty instalove (especially considering that this does only end up taking place over the span of a little over one week!) but I don't think I was expecting anything different so even though it's one of my least favourite tropes, I already knew it'd likely happen. That said, what I didn't like was the disrespect they did to each other towards the end, which ends up being the third-act conflict. No spoilers, but I didn't like how Titan basically trod all over Julianna's wishes and then what Julianna did in "retaliation" even though she "didn't mean to do it" was even stupider. She had every right to be angry and it irritated the hell out of me that Titan was so insistent that he did nothing wrong (rolls eyes so hard) but the way these two dealt with the fall-out and everything that happens after was just... Not great.
Overall, not a terrible read. I'm curious about the next book because I liked Eden in this book but I hope that things get explained a bit more and that the characters don't devolve into petty and childish behaviour the way these two did.

I don't like the daddy Dom kink and yet I loved this book. I found both characters compelling and thought there was a good smut to plot ratio. I would have liked to have seen the heist aspect explored a little more (it was really simplistic) and the author was occasionally repetitive (I feel that both baby girl and good girl were overused). The world that's been set up is very interesting and I'm excited to see more.
