I think ultimately my ho-hum response to Cover Story was not the book's fault, but was due to me just having binge-watched Inventing Anna on Netflix. The faux German heiress angle, living large with champagne dreams and a beer budget, didn't feel as fresh as it should have, but I was still surprised by the ending, which was nice. It's a quick read and enjoyable, but some aspects did feel predictable.

With serious Anna Delvey vibes, this is an addicting read about the crazy life of a high stakes con artist. Told through emails, text conversations and diary entries, this quickly captivates and keeps you glued to all the sensational twists and turns!

If you enjoyed Inventing Anna on Netflix, you will most likely enjoy this as well. I really liked the audiobook narration, it was very well done. I like that the plot is pretty fast paced, it did not drag on at any point

Thank you HarperCollins Publishing and NetGalley for this fantastic read. I expected a simple chic-lit type read. Well, while it was chick-lit, it was very engrossing with the story line and the way the author used multi-media types of writing. She did an amazing job of developing the characters and making you feel like you knew them while really pulling for Lora. But that ending. Blew. Me. Away. It was a solid 4 stars until the last 2-3 pages. Wow. Just. Wow. Could not put this one down and glad that I chose to read it when I did. I highly recommend buying it the day it is released, 4/5/22. You won’t regret it.

My jaw is on the floor. Omg. This book. I will admit it took a while to get into the story but once it got to the third part I was 100% invested in the story and everything from then on til the end had me freaking out.
