Why can't we have books where good guys fight the bad guys without intertwined love stories? I must have mumbled "give me a break" 5 times throughout this book (every time there was a cheesy love scene.) :/

2.5 stars

It takes a LOT these days to impress me and this one just didn’t make the cut.

As this is book 5 in the series I found the lives of the characters much more interesting than the overall crime/plot. In fact the ending so unbelievable that I decided to lower my rating.

I found the motive of the crime in complete disproportion to the violence displayed. It can be compared to someone tripping over a sidewalk and then bombing the whole neighborhood out of revenge.

And Angie is no longer a character but just a plot device with no purpose other than to show just how evil she can be….. yawn!

I will give this series one more chance but the next book better blow my socks off

This book helped me understand Faith more. I had no idea what happened with Evelyn and just hoped it would all work out. We love Will & Sara.

Fave book in the series so far!!!

Spoilers: I loved how much Amanda there was in this book! Reading about her and Evelyn’s backstory was cool. I loved how many times she said “old gals”. The Will and Sarah will they/won’t they parts were great! I can’t wait to see where that storyline goes. I was more interested in the character storylines than I was about the crime in this one, which is not always the case. Other crime plot lines have been better but this was a very cool character heavy book. Also good riddance to Angie.

A real page-turner. Very entertaining!
