Re-read this recently as I had almost forgotten it but soon it all came back to me. Would make a great holiday read and I recommend reading the other books by the author too.

I didn’t go into this book with high expectations, I had bought it second hand because I though the cover was cute. Though now that I’ve finished it, I really enjoyed it.

There was talks of them being spicy but we didn’t see much spice which was okay. It was good blend of romance and drama, second chances and messy relationships. I’m happy Penny ended up with her true love in the end, he was my favourite

It was a very typical romance book - no real surprises. A love square rather than a triangle - 3 men who Penny likes for all different reasons. However, it’s blatantly obvious who she really likes. Trigger: cancer survivor story.

Overalls was good but nothing to write home about!

I actually liked this book the more I read it. For the first hundred or so pages I thought it was quite boring, a little cliche and very cringy. If I’m honest, it was quite cringy throughout, but it did get a lot more interesting. I thought the book was quite good. I even had a tiny little cry at the last two pages. I found that the book was trying to be quite progressive and at first it felt a tad out of place, but by the end I think it worked quite well. I thought the addition of Lizzo from mid way to the end was a little strange, but not completely out the blue, many books mention celebrities in the forms of favourite bands or movies etc. I think it was just a little strange to see such a recent celebrity talked about. I am surprised that I pretty much actually liked all the characters of the book, there were none that I disliked, though I wasn’t fond of all of them all the time. I struggled a little with it being in third person as I much prefer first, but that’s just my preference. Overall I enjoyed it and think it was fun and light hearted and quite sweet overall!!

I think my issue with this book was that I had hyped it up so much for myself and it just fell short.
Where this book was cute in parts, it overall did not do a lot for me and although I don't know what I was expecting initially, I just don't think this book is really for me. There was nothing inherently bad about it I was just not a fan of the plot lines most of the time and felt that I was misled a little with the synopsis.
