dnfed at page 64.

I already get the sense that it's about a cult and the way the book is heading just doesn't seem interesting to me. It's super slow at this point. It's basically just one of those boring adult fiction books my mom reads with absolutely no mystery (sorry mom lol). I think my time is better spent reading the wikipedia article to see what happens. Just not the book for me, but other people gave it great reviews!

I would give it more of a 3.5. I found that it started to get more interesting in the end. It was a good book to feel weird to.

Keeping up with the characters was a struggle, but I did really enjoy it overall. Can't wait it's for the sequel.

This one fell a bit flat for me, especially since I loved None of This is True. The premise was interesting and very much a “House of Horrors” type thriller, which always terrifies me. I found the characters complex in the best way. Lisa Jewell knows how to write a nauseating villain and have the reader praying on their downfall. That being said, I found it hard to follow at times, and some of the details towards the end were a bit confusing, and a lot of it left me with questions. Overall, good. I’d heard good things, and I still recommend giving it a try!
