Really good intens plottwist. Really good book.

4 stars

I think the start of this book made up for a lot of the minuses (not that there were a lot of them).

Erin is happily married with Danny who is a cop. One morning, his partner comes at their place, a very normal and usual thing, and looks at Danny and says he is sorry. Danny, turns around and jumps off the window. Quite, quite shocking!

Jo Spain is a great writer. She has a magic ability to draw you into the story fast and deep. I was absolutely hooked from the first pages and I eagerly wanted to know what happened, why did he jump.

A great book, very enjoyable! Liked it a lot!

This author is damn right clever

*My Thoughts*

I wish I liked this one more!
The plot is so captivating and I just wish the book had been the same.

For me, the book was a bit too long. Too much time where little happened.

I did find myself becoming really wrapped up in the story and then the alternating chapter would happen and I was lifted from the story.

Although, on a positive note, Jo Spain has a unique ability to craft excellent crime storylines.

I felt the settings in the book were well developed and described.
I also liked how the plot had multiple contributing factors to it.

While Spain may be a hit & miss author for me, this book has excellent reviews & I would still encourage anyone else to read it.

Three stars!

Thanks to NetGalley, Quercus Books & Jo Spain for an eArc of this book in exchange for an honest review.
