This is an extraordinary biography. Despite its enormous page count, I read it even faster than I expected to because of the immense joy I took from reading about the life of one of America's most gifted and tragic writers.

Only made it 36% of the way through this 45 hour behemoth. It was good: engaging, informative, fair, and interesting. The narrator did a fantastic job using the Mark Twain voice without going over the top. I would have finished, but Libby giveth and taketh away. It's simply too long for a two week casual listen.
