This book should really be two stars, but I was looking for an easy, fast-paced thriller, and this was barely fine, I guess.

But really, sub-par writing, flat characters, unbelievable premise (I mean, seriously, you're going to have to suspend your disbelief, just throw logic and any kind of critical thinking out the window).

If you're a well-read thriller, mystery, or suspense reader, you'll be rolling your eyes so hard... Scratch that last bit...

If you're a well-read PERSON, period, you probably should just skip this one.

David is five years into a life sentence for killing his son when his sister-in-law pays him a visit and shows him a photo a friend of hers took at an amusement park and what-do-ya know, his murdered son, is walking by in the background.

So, you know, he breaks out of prison the next day.

And it just gets worse after that.

Stupid plot. Cringe relationships. Annoying narrator chewing in my ear, also cringe.

I was in the mood for a quick thriller to round out my March reading, so this got 3 stars from me, but now that I think on it, it's really like 1.5 stars.

It's really quite bad. Really wouldn't recommend to anyone and surprised it's so highly rated.

Fun, full of windy twists and turns. I read it in two days and I would read it again. It does get a bit outlandish but still manages to stay somewhat rooted.

Brilliant book, at times it was predictable in terms of storyline and the ending. The characters were well written, it made you love some while others you were more prone to dislike. The plot is what really drove this book, it’s a definite page turner.
