This was super cute and surprisingly just what I needed. It still took me a while to get through it but hopefully it's kicked me back into reading gear.
I expected something different from the title but did enjoy what I received.

Five things about The Library At the Edge of the World by Felicity Hayes-McCoy 5/5⭐️s
1. I picked up this old library copy of this book a while ago. It felt like a book I’d love but I just never picked it up. I did however continue to collect all the other books in the series and preorder the newest to be released in the States soon. That’s not something I do. I mean, I purchased all these multiple books by an author I’d never read a word of but felt like I’d enjoy. So when I finally picked this up this month there was a lot of pressure I was putting upon myself to love it. That usually ends badly. Not this time!
2. I thought I’d love this book and I absolutely did! It’s slow, and kind, and funny, and genuine. It’s all the things I love in storytelling.
3. Ultimately, this is a book about relationship and belonging.
4. The setting, the characters, their choices, the consequences…all are beautifully and realistically rendered by Hayes-McCoy with such love.
5. I am so glad I already have the next and next and next….to read. I care about these characters and this place.

I love libraries, in fact, I work in one. This was the deciding factor when I decided to request The Library at the Edge of the World by Felicity Hayes McCoy from NetGalley. What I was fortunate enough to get in this book was a rather charming story about starting over and the power of community.
The Library at the Edge of the World is the story of Hanna Casey. Hanna is divorced, works in her local library (a job she is seriously over-qualified for), and back living with her mother. Middle age isn’t how she pictured things to be. With that in mind she decides to invest in a property that was left to her in a distant relatives will. Oh she also decides to help save her small town from mass expansion too. She is a bit of a hero like that.
I really enjoyed The Library at the Edge of the World. It was a book of fun and escapism and that made it utterly charming.

An interesting slice of life story, well told and a gorgeous setting, but not one I’m dying to continue.
listened to it on CD so had the extra benefit of the accent. Charming book, more than I expected, an eventually empowered heroine, sense of community, and of course books.
I'd say 3.5 stars. Overall, I enjoyed the book. Took awhile to warm up to Hanna. It's kind of interesting that has she developed more throughout the book that I started to like her. My favorite character is Fury. He had me laughing so much!
