DID NOT FINISH

okay nvm i’m dnfing this
it’s so boring and Rowan sucks ass
he acts like a teenage boy who just hit puberty then doesn’t care that he’s texting her pretending he’s someone else, but also doesn’t like to think ab her seeing and texting other guys while he literally is one of them…

To say I have waited a long time to read this book (ney Series) would be an understatement. I loved Lauren Asher's books right from the Dirty Air series (that I do recommend to everyone I meet) and this on didn't disappoint as well.

Everything starting from the writing all the way to the character dynamics are different. There are no recurring themes spotted between this book and the Dirty Air series which is both a relief and a bit disappointing as well. (I love character crossovers!)

The representation that Asher has encompassed in this book is amazing and rarely seen in other books that were written by authors catering to this age group.

I loved Zahra and her bubbly nature and how she sees the light in everything even after all that she has been through. I love the relationships she has and the new ones that she establishes and how her social butterfly status completely matches that of Rowan who is your typical morally grey fictional male.

Both the MCs have gone through a significant amount of trauma and that is a constant them that keeps coming into play and affecting all the decisions that they make. This makes the characters so relatable to the reader which was one of the many reasons I breezed through this book in a week.

I'm looking forward to reading the second book and from what I have heard and read on Booksta and BookTok; they don't disappoint!
slow-paced

I needed a break in my dark romance days and this has been the perfect book for it. It is light compared to other books I have read but that does not mean that I have enjoyed it less. It's funny and more than once I've seen phrases that I use in Rowan. I can't wait to read his siblings' stories!

At times it was a bit slow for me but overall a cute story.

classic grumpy/sunshine, easy read, predictable but cute, MMC is a controlling billionaire so there’s that

The Fine Print completely swept me away! I’d heard all the hype around Lauren Asher’s Dreamland Billionaires series, and I can honestly say this book lived up to every bit of it. It had everything I crave in a contemporary romance: sizzling chemistry, emotional depth, laugh-out-loud banter, and that perfect mix of fairytale vibes with real-world struggles. I devoured it in just a couple of sittings because I simply couldn’t put it down.

The setup was brilliant. A grumpy, no-nonsense billionaire tasked with running a theme park empire and a sunshine-y creative who refuses to dim her light? Yes, please. The workplace tension combined with the enemies-to-lovers vibe created sparks on every page. Their relationship had me hooked from the moment they met—every clash, every misunderstanding, every secret smile had me grinning, swooning, and sometimes wanting to shake them both.

Rowan was such a fascinating hero. On the surface he’s broody, cold, and demanding, but the more layers you peel back, the more you see his vulnerability and the pain he carries. Watching him slowly soften and let someone in was so rewarding. Zahra, on the other hand, completely stole my heart. She’s creative, passionate, and unwilling to be silenced, and I loved how her positivity wasn’t naïve—it was powerful. She challenged Rowan, and she made everyone around her better.

The romance between them was perfection. It was angsty, full of tension, and oh-so-steamy, but what made it stand out was the emotional connection underneath. They balanced each other beautifully, and their growth as individuals made their love story feel earned. The slow burn was delicious, and when the payoff came? Totally worth the wait.

Another highlight was the world of Dreamland itself. The theme park setting added such a magical backdrop to the story, almost like its own character. The whimsical contrast of fairytales and rollercoasters against Rowan’s gruffness and Zahra’s determination made for such a unique vibe. It’s not every day you get a romance that feels like Disney magic meets billionaire drama, but Lauren Asher nailed it.

I honestly don’t have many critiques. If I had to nitpick, there were a few moments where the angst dragged a bit long, but it didn’t take away from my enjoyment at all. By the time I reached the ending, my heart was full, my cheeks hurt from smiling, and I was already itching to grab book two.

The Fine Print is everything I want in a romance: addictive, emotional, steamy, and full of heart. Lauren Asher has created characters you’ll root for, a romance that makes you believe in second chances and magic, and a series that I can already tell will be a favorite. Five shining stars—I’m officially obsessed!
