The first time I'm introduced to the real story of Sandman. The last time was in a DreamWorks animation movie adaptation with Easter Bunny, Santa etc.

At first it seemed a little bit old and I was kind of confused by all the voices, chronology. But 30min or an hour or so you get immerged in the story and it is fantastic. Especially the voices and the audio effects. The best Audible I've listened so far, it is perfect.

Well, if I got to put some flaws, some things were disgusting. Some environments, the description and behavior or villain characters like the one with mouths in his eyes. I don't fancy this kind of stuff but still, it is the best audio for me right now.

I love Neil Gaiman.
Not 5 stars, because it's not a novel, it's... comic books explained to people who cannot see. But every now and then, Neil Gaiman's... words, poetry, beauty comes through.

I am conflicted with this book. It is more a set of short stories than a cohesive novel. Some of the stories I enjoyed and others I found where just too violent for my tastes. I also didn't always like all of the extra sound effects and music. I found that it took away and distracted me from the story and the excellent narrators. Over all I am disappointed with this book.

Book source ~ Purchased at Audible

It’s The Sandman by Neil Gaiman. Does this really need a blurb? An audiobook adapted from the graphic novels with an awesome cast of narrators.

If you love fantasy, horror, and short stories then this is a realm for you. I’ve read the graphic novels and this audiobook has them all, except with a fantabulous cast of narrators. It was a delight to listen to and a wildly fantastic and creative world to enter into and dwell for a time. Coming back to the real world was a bit of a letdown. I cannot recommend this enough. Go get it now!
