The stories are great, the voice acting is great, the sound effects are going to make me throw up.

Can we stop with the talking while eating, for starters? It's disgusting. I get that audiobooks (especially the full cast ones) are going to have sound effects, but it is necessary for them to be so disgusting and so loud? The music, too? There were several points where I couldn't make out what was being said because the music or the sound effects were too loud over the actual story.

The narration and performances of everyone was 5 stars. The story though was too scattered with too many off the wall ideas for me. It was also very dark and gory at times. If this cast and director were involved in some other project I would try it out for sure. There were some aspects that tied into the DC world but I was just thrown off by how much I didn't want to listen to what was happening to the characters. This is also why I don't like Stephen King's writing as well.

Oh Neil how I love thee. An awesome full cast brings Sandman to life. I love the DC characters thrown in and Kat Dennings as Death is just so perfect. I need to go back and read the graphic novels again.

If you're a fan of Neil Gaiman, Sandman, or even just James (my future husband) McAvoy - or really, any of the actors involved - this is 100% worth it. Until the Universe gives me my Netflix adaptation, I will keep replaying this.

There are scenes that make me cry just like the books did. There are scenes that make me laugh. There are chapters that I replay until I know them by heart. There are lines that I randomly blurt just for fun.
