Ci sta dai, un libretto scopereccio.

Francesca is a freak lmfao. This book was the smuttiest one so far but I found that I enjoyed it the most because it featured the best love interest thus far, at least in my opinion. Michael is an so down bad it's actually crazy. He worships the very ground that my girl Frannie walks on and I love that for her. Francesca is so unlike her other siblings and I found her calm and peaceful way of life so refreshing, I like her the most out of all of the Bridgerton siblings. While I wouldn't go as far as saying that this is a great book, it definitely exceeded my expectations, the expectations being that it was going to be as poorly written as the others. If I had to recommend one of these books to a friend, this would be the one I'd choose. Seeing the Bridgertons from Francesca's POV was fascinating by I've been lead to believe that they're a super closer family who love each other but they clearly have favorites, and very obvious ones at that. I love how close they are but not telling Francesca about not one, but TWO, of her siblings wedding was insane. They cannot claim to be this loving and caring family when they intentionally or unintentionally, and I'm not sure which is worst, leave out one of the siblings. Overall alright read.

She made Michael Stirling so charming that I liked him immediately within the first few pages.

Tropes: unrequited love/secret pining, friends to lovers, taking care of someone when sick.

Surprising amount of medical...stuff? Very interesting to see how it was approached at that time. I believe Quinn did quite a bit of research on that.

I know it has no bearing on the plot, but I kind of wonder about Francesca and John's courtship. It makes sense for Quinn not to want us to like John too much, but Francesca speaks of the courtship (and the man) fondly, and it's not really touched upon in the other books, even though the timeframe overlaps. (I suppose Quinn hadn't quite worked out the interwoven plotlines yet?)

Also, I'm just going to come out and say this, the whole time I was reading I was thinking someone MUST have written an AU fanfic where John doesn't die and these three end up in a polyamorous relationship. XD
