I feel like I wanted more from this book. I was told that this was the best in the Bridgerton series and I was hoping it was, but this was not it. I got told once that Julia Quinn likes her angry man and ever since that was pointed out to me. I cannot see it whatever happens the FMC should not be scared of the guy she’s supposed to love. That’s a huge red flag. And the fact that Michael isn’t respecting the fact that she’s still grieving at her husband and having to deal with the fact that she’s attracted to him and that’s causing all sorts of emotions in her head granted she has not explained that to him, but it seemed fairly obvious what was going on and he’s all Pressuring her and give me an answer. Are you gonna marry me or not and it’s like dude she is dealing with shit. Also, I know Quinn went out of her way to show that the sex scenes were consensual but at the same time it still felt a little coercive because when we were in her head, she was like oh my gosh I wanna stop this, but it feels too good and I just wanna stop it because I’m basically borderline having a panic attack with all my feelings And I just don’t think her writing is for me

Graphic: Grief
Honestly, I wasn't looking forward to reading this at all.
In fact, I abhorred reading it at first, wanting to just get on with it. Perhaps because it was different than rest of the Bridgerton series. Also because I didn't like the entire situation. But, I cried at the end. I cried. It moved me. The part where Francesca was in front of John's grave and Helen's letter to Michael. Oh god.
