Listennnn the spice in this book 🥵🥵🥵 The only reason why I didn’t rate it higher is because I wanted more from the plot. I wish it had more tension, mystery, suspense, etc. the only tension or suspense was towards the beginning of the book when the two characters cross paths after that it’s basically flat. Imma still proceed with the rest of the series simply because of the spice.

For a book that I had anticipated to be mostly filler for a love story, I was pleasantly surprised at the plot. The plot mixes well with the romance and I found myself on the edge of my seat more than once. This is a very well written book.

The overall plot had potential but the follow through was not there. The main characters were basic without anything really to help you empathize with them. Considering the MFCs background this is pretty difficult to do. The spice was there, a lot of praise, but that's the only thing the book did right.
