I don't like much about it. 
Here and there are sentences that stood out to me, some clever word choices.
I didn't like the voice of the main character. I didn't like the structure of the story. I didn't like the execution of the twist. This should have been an early DNF but I expected more on the basis of many good reviews.

Such an emotional book. Cried multiple times. Made me very reflective. It’s such a gut-wrenching book. It tackles depression, alcoholism, suicidal ideation, physical and emotional abuse, social awkwardness, and loneliness. I got anxiety during this book as if I was the one that had just accidentally hurt someone’s feelings. 
I love the main guy in the book, he reminded me of Chris O’Dowd.
During parts of this book, I really didn’t like the main character. She does grow, though. 
I don’t know if I’ll ever want to read this again. It was so anxiety-inducing that I couldn’t sleep last night. I just felt like I couldn’t put it down until there was some resolution.

"Some people, evidently, find it hard to know what to say to someone like me. However, if I allow them to talk about themselves, they’re often very relieved. This suits me just fine, as I’m not particularly interested in their stories anyway."

I’m so glad I decided to give this book another shot. I attempted the audiobook version of this about a year ago and could not get into it. Reading it, however, was so enjoyable! I could not put it down. I wanted it to continue and I want to know what Eleanor’s life looks like moving forward. Such a great read. I know why people say it’s one of their favorite books - I think it’s become one of mine too.
