a few notes:

-I wish the dates (read: years) that the photographs were TAKEN had been included, rather than the year the place/object was created. sometimes it seemed forced (i.e. the cat??) or confusing because it would say how the view has changed, or place has changed, but the picture gives no indication
-not sure about the accuracy of the text following each image. no bibliography, so not sure where the information comes from? also wish some of the text was more relevant to what was actually in the photos, rather than someone loosely connected to the object/place in the image.
-some of the photos really don't match the vibes? and too many lighthouses/viewfinders

The pictures featured in this book are for the most part excellent. Although often I felt that the text would refer to the beauty of the location, but a beauty not evident in the photo, if we’d had 2/3 photos for each location I’m sure that would have sufficed. Also the text didn’t seem all that well written, the writing was dull.

i didn’t read every page. i skipped to asia because that’s where i’m from and man i loved it. the book is simply photos and descriptions of places around the world shot in the wes anderson style - bright colour, symmetry & a very distinct shot. i got this book because i’m a big fan of his works & also i’m starting out my photography journey asap!! this book is also great for future travellers wanting to seek places that’s not mostly tourist orientated but local orientated!!!

Not sure if this was good or bad for my pandemic depression but it was nice sitting with this book and a pile of post-it flags and marking the places I hope to travel to soon. If anything it’s a beautiful method of escapism
