Wat een geweldig boek heeft Karin Slaughter geschreven. En gelukkig is het ook een dikkerd, zodat ik er lang van kon genieten. Een heel sterke eerste helft en een bijna even sterke tweede helft. Ik zou zeggen "neem een dag vrij en ga dit boek lezen".

When I picked this up, I was going through a phase of believing, with every fibre of my being, that I had clocked thrillers. Like, I had gone through all the levels of thriller novels & made it to the end; the end being an elevated state of mind where I could no longer be thrilled by books. I could dust my hands clean of them - I had been through the edge of my seat, staying up all night to finish, because everything that was supposed to have me feeling that way, was boring me.
This though.. yeah, this humbled me.

Read this. Immediately. It’s detailed, it’s disturbing, it’s damn near perfect.
