Twice in a Blue Moon opens with high school graduate Tate traveling to London with her grandmother, and by chance meeting college guy Sam, who is traveling with his grandfather. Coincidentally, they are all staying at the same hotel. The four get to know each other and eat meals together and sight-see. Tate and Sam hit it off right away, with Sam being very vocal and not at all shy about his feelings for Tate. One night, Tate divulges her biggest secret to Sam, trusting that he would never repeat it. But alas, that was not to be. Once her secret is revealed to the press, Tate is thrust into the spotlight and begins a successful acting career.
14 years later, and Tate is about to star in her biggest film to date, with a script she fell in love with. She hasn't seen or heard from Sam since London all those years ago, but she's never forgotten him. On the set of her new movie, she comes face to face with her past, and has to decide whether to follow her heart to true love or be cautious and walk away.
In true Christina Lauren fashion, this was an adorable read. It is a little slower and less realistic than their other novels, but nonetheless is a quick, cute read. While I found the circumstances of Tate and Sam's meeting and falling in love so quickly a little unrealistic, it is a fictional book, so unrealistic is perfectly ok. I did think Sam was a little mature and vocal about his feelings for Tate for a 21-year-old guy (how many college guys do you know spilling their feelings to a girl they met a few days ago??). I love Christina Lauren books though because they are always a cute read with a steamy scene or two, and a happy ending, and this did not disappoint.

This is the first Christina Lauren book I've ever read and i have to say I'm not disappointed at all! I recommend it if you're looking for something easy to read and also if you like the "love at first sight" trope. Although I'm not a big fan of it the author did a really good job.

Au début du livre, nous rencontrons Tate et sa grand-mère Nana. Toutes deux sont à Londres pour célébrer les 18 ans de Tate. C'est alors qu'elles vont rencontrer Sam et son grand-père Luther, venus à Londres pour sensiblement les mêmes raisons. Tate se sent suffisamment en confiance avec Sam pour lui raconter son plus lourd secret : elle est la fille cachée d'un acteur vedette d'Hollywood.
Un matin, Sam est parti mais... il a trahi son secret.
10 ans plus tard, Tate est devenue une actrice célèbre...
Comment réagirait-elle si elle était amenée à recroiser Sam au hasard d'un tournage ?
Eh bien pour une fois, ma chronique, sans être uniquement négative, ne sera pas vraiment positive. Les ingrédients sont bons, un coup de foudre dans la jeunesse, une trahison horrible, un film hollywoodien dans un super ranch américain et un papa égocentrique au possible... mais, sur moi, ça n'a pas vraiment fonctionné.
J'ai bien aimé le début, leur rencontre à Londres est vraiment mignonne, je me suis imaginé une suite trop chou et puis... patatras, il l'a trahie et... tout dégringole. Je me rends compte avec ce roman que j'ai du mal avec les scénarios impliquant la célébrité mais en vrai je pense que cela dépend de la manière dont c'est traité. Et... dans ce cas, je n'ai pas accroché ! J'ai vraiment détesté le père de Tate, quel égoïste ! Et la relation entre Sam et Tate, une fois la trahison digérée, je la comprends mais elle ne m'a pas émue. J'ai fini par comprendre les motivations de Sam au moment où il choisit de la trahir et elles sont nobles mais... bof !
Je suis désolée, pour une fois, j'ai du mal à donner un avis tranché car je n'ai pas détesté mais rien ne m'a vraiment plus dans cette romance.
