I’ve wanted to read this for a while as it’s the classic sci-fi book. It was really good! I really enjoyed the level of detail about the martians. The book was a quick read, but don’t let that fool you; it’s packed with action!

As I was listening to this, I kept thinking about how much this story has been integrated into contemporary pop culture. It's easy to assume that this sort of story has always been a part of our cultural narrative, but I tried to appreciate how influential The War of the Worlds really is.
adventurous challenging dark mysterious tense fast-paced

I had never read the unabridged version of this book so I thought I would give it a try. It is much more engaging than I expected and is more of a thriller as well.
the guy he comes back in contact with near the end of the book is a piece of work that really turned my stomach

Written in beautiful prose, suspenseful without dragging on, and finishing exactly where I did not expect. Most worthy of all its praises.
