As a long time fan of Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds, I felt it was necessary for me to read the book that was behind the music, and wasn't disappointed. The War of the Worlds was way beyond it's time. I find it incredible that someone could come up with such amazing and (at the time) far-fetched ideas, and I definitely think that this is a must read for any SciFi fan.
