One of my favorite books because I feel as if she truly captured the culture of Chinese Americans. At least, I could spot my own family a few times in the book, which made me both laugh and cry.

I read this book for school my Junior year of high school I think which is probably why I didn’t like it very much because it was a forced read. Maybe I will try it again one day.
