This is a beautiful and inspiring memoir. Goodall has a unique perspective on life and gives the events, thoughts, and triumphs behind it. It's a great reminder to be kind and that you can make a difference. Definitely recommend to anyone struggling with the current state of America right now.

As much autobiography as spiritual manifesto. Delivers on both.

If there's any way I could love Jane Goodall more, this book did that. How does a person get to be so wise and kind??

Such an inspiring book of how Jane began her field work. Was very interesting and exciting to read about her journey

I listened to the audiobook, mostly at night while trying to sleep, and man, I love her stores.

I was a little worried this book would be heavily focused on religion but I think she struck a nice balance between her spiritual beliefs, her world view, and telling the story of her life.

Can Jane Goodall just narrate my entire life? Either way, loved hearing her life story and how she connects her religious beliefs with that of the scientific world. In the last third of the book she really focused on her activism for animal rights. It made me think about how now we have very popular companies like Lush who are wanted because they don’t test on animals. Looking forward to picking up another one of her books soon!

Inspiring. Her writing style is simple and honest which makes her stories easier for me to jump into and feel.

A good book to read over and over to reinforce her message.
