"We hope that tomorrow will come." As a non-Aboriginal Canadian, I hope the possible future of Canada that Saul says is possible will come, too. Mandatory reading for all Canadians. My understanding of democracy in general and how it pertains to the Canadian context were expanded. My view of history exploded - I didn't realize prior to reading this book how short-sighted my own historical understanding was. This book isn't just about Aboriginals, it's a call to action to build a better Canada collaboratively and with reciprocity. I have already recommended it to everyone I know.
