oh my god i loved this book! i felt like i was transported into this dream world, i couldn’t keep my eyes off of the page. my favorite part was probably the allegory on freedom and imprisonment when K. talks to the priest…

Franz Kafka was literally so pissed with all the bullshit we all deal with at work that lead to this book which perfectly encapsulates it. Everyone standing in everyone's way, thinking they know what's going on, all seeing something differently. It all seems like the end of the world, but it's all just bullshit in the end with no satisfactory conclusion in sight.

Infuriating to read, took a while for me to get to Kafka but I think he will be a favorite of mine. Glad he straight discovered his true calling in literature, despite having been so depleted by society to reach that point.

Ich hab ja nie wirklich viel von meinem Deutschlehrer aus der Oberstufe gehalten, aber eins spricht doch für ihn: Nämlich, dass wir von Kafka "Die Verwandlung" und nicht "Den Proceß" gelesen haben.

??? Classic Kafka
challenging dark tense medium-paced
