It is a 3.5 star for me. I really enjoyed coming back to this world and go on this adventure with them again.

It was a good ending to the duology! I wasn’t exactly sure where they were gonna go with this book because the first one ended so seamlessly! It was adventurous and really easy to get into.

It was slow for a while and there was definitely some things that felt like it was a repeat of the first book, but once it picked up about halfway through it became easier to get into. Definitely enjoyed the ending.

Better and worse. Weirdly.
I did get my wish at least?
My favourite character did get de-lobotomised.
I have some critique over the overall writing (it is vastly better than the first sorority, tarot and immediately able to guess the finale). But that is the better part?
The worst part is the premise of witches (which was raised in book one) can’t reveal to anyone not magic who they are, so how do you build long lasting relationships that are actually built on trust and communication, and erasing their memories every once in a while would be a major breach of trust , and hiding most of your life (as Vivi proves) leads to a breakup pretty soon down the line.
Overall the big bad in this book was better, and plot was a tiny bit better, and I liked a tiny bit where Jackson ended up in the end. But also, why Monarchs? Especially when they’re barely a cameo and refuse to participate in the big magic bad that impacts everyone?
But I definitely wouldn’t recommend this to someone who needs their books to live in a logical realm. And I do.

What a beautiful ending for these sorority witches. I loved this plot but I did find it a little repetitive of the first book. The ending and twist were different enough that I very much enjoyed the read. It took me only 24 hours to finish it because I could not put it down.

The last 100 pages were good. That’s it. Basically they should have stopped with the first book. I expected better romance even for a y/a novel. The relationship problems in this were stupiddddd. Like 1/2 the stuff would not have even happened in real life cuz people woulda just talked to each other about their issues… I can say I finished the book for book club.

I wasn’t sure if I would enjoy a sequel to The Ravens, but this was a pleasant surprise. The plot was a good fit with the first book and kept up with the same energy.

Unfortunately this didn’t catch me at all like the first book, I wasn’t interested in reading the story and now nearly a month after putting it on pause I‘m still not interested. Somehow this book also made me a little anxious? I don’t know what it was about it, but I didn’t feel good reading it (might also have been just the general state of my life at the time but now I‘ve got it associated with it so I won’t pick it up again sadly
