This series never fails to disappoint, and I was so psyched to realize this isn't the final book like I thought it was!! There isn't much I can say about this, as it's the fourth installment in an insanely well-developed epic fantasy series. But basically, sh!t gets real, the polyamorous relationship I've been dying for becomes canon, and insane twists and turns made this book impossible to put down. I already loved this series with my whole heart, but Jenn Lyons just had to take it one step further by adding ace rep and fat positivity just for me. Such an easy 5 ⭐s.
Moderate: Child abuse, Child death, Confinement, Cursing, Death, Eating disorder, Genocide, Gore, Mental illness, Panic attacks/disorders, Physical abuse, Sexual content, Slavery, Suicidal thoughts, Torture, Toxic relationship, Violence, Blood, Medical content, Kidnapping, Grief, Cannibalism, Medical trauma, Death of parent, Murder

Considering all the backstabbing, politics, plot twists it has been through this one felt...fluffy. The plot felt like a drag with all the forced 'redemption arcs'. It felt like the author decided almost every named characters should be on 'the good side'. A few confession and tears and now we are all a happy family -_-.
There was not enough kraken! We get a glimpse of it at the beginning and at the end, it was a pitiful amount. Then again, for the series to be named after dragon to have such small amount of it is also disheartening.
