The Soul of Money is a good book on understanding money as a flowing commodity and tool. The book invites the reader to assess their perspective on money and to take action that seeks to align you with a healthier mindset.
As nurturers, women often put themselves last. A pertinent quote: “Women should look at how much energy they put into their relationships and consciously take a quarter of it and put it into their own relationship with themselves.”
An ethical life is a fulfilling life (not easy, not always happy, not without trouble, but fulfilling despite the setbacks).
There are 3 myths that keep people from feeling like they can make a difference: The myth that there are not enough resources to go around. The myth that more is better….there many examples in the book extraordinarily wealthy people who worry constantly, and feel like if they had just a bit more, all would be well, and lastly, the myth that the unfair circumstances in life are set, that "that's just the way it is.”
This quote resonates with me deeply: “Remember, your children are your elders in universe time. They have come into a more complete, more evolved universe than you or I can know." Recommend.

First book for a new bookclub. It was generally a 2 star with a few 4 star moments. It would have been better if it was shorter.
Good lord. The author made several nice points, but this could have been a blog post. I can't believe an editor stetted the raft of repetition in this book. Just because something is worth saying once doesn't mean it's worth saying 23 times.
The ideas in the book are gracious and clear. The chapters are clear in articulating the author’s perspectives and are filled with stories, some too long and some over-narrated. I found myself skimming through many of them. But the Twist’s take on sufficiency is helpful and her language is mostly honest and inclusive without feeling too privileged. I’d give it 3.5 stars if I could.
In many ways it brings up important reflections about money, but in others it gets stuck in some slightly outdated ideas of how to approach money/money mindset. It has a deep undertone of money from a privileged space, in an unrelatable way.
