Nice to see the new Avengers, but comic was way too short and there was nothing to the story. The Inhumans story was better, but not enough to make up for the Avengers portion.

Really loved this! Looks like a bright future for Marvel. Can't wait to see it unfold in all its glory!

This Free Comic Book Day comic definitely did its job getting me interested in this upcoming series -- an Avengers featuring Iron Man, Vision, Nova, the female Thor, the Miles Morales Spider-Man, the Sam Wilson Captain America, and the Kamala Khan Ms. Marvel.

All New All Different Avengers #1 caught my eye with their bang up creative team of writer Mark Waid and artists Adam Kubert & Mahmud Asrar. Waid touches on some interesting topics such as the racial quandary Sam Wilson’s Cap is thrust into involving cookies & a swarm of electronic devices. Cap even a mentions that despite the various teams (not to mention titles) that are out right now that there is no true Avengers team in the Marvel Universe. It seems Waid is trying to show what makes this team different from those that have come before but the rest of the issue is pretty standard affair for a team up book. The main story ends a bit abruptly but the shock is nearly eased by the quality of the extended side story. Much of the team hasn’t met up with each other yet but the interactions between those that have make this a title to look forward to. I am particularly fond of the teenage awkwardness between Kamala Khan as Ms. Marvel & Sam Alexander as Nova. Also, Mahmud Asrar's art style really lends itself to the tone of the side story between these two characters. Overall, Waid lays some good groundwork for what looks like big things to come.

I liked this more than I expected to. I'm not a big fan of the super hero comic books, but it was a way to work on my Spanish, and it was free. So...

The last story in it, Secret Wars #0, actually hooked me to the point I'm considering looking it up to see if I can read more of the story somewhere.

This is really just a teaser, giving readers a few pages as sort of 'prequels' to story lines that happen.

For what it is - I enjoyed it. One of the better FCBDs I've read.
