The third book in the Death Before Dragons series is light and easy romp. We see more of Val, meet her teenaged daughter and learn about more magical creatures. Val has continued to be snarky and self reliant. Happily she has not (yet) had a “save me” moment with the powerful dragon Zav (did anyone mention he is powerful, oh and also he is hot?). This is a good continuation of the series story lines while still resolving the trouble defined in this book. I am looking forward to picking up the 4th when I need a light and reliable read.

Stillnloving the story and binging through one audiobook after the other.

This one was extra funny. Main character Val being more open and understanding of others. Her finally seeing her family again even if it was under these circumstances. And finally the cherry on top: Zaph claiming Val.
